Are You Ready To Contribute To Saving The Planet?

Many times in the past I tried to convince myself that it wouldn't matter if I recycled or not....afterall, it's only trash. Have you ever thought about where that trash goes? It heads to landfills. When they fill up, everything gets buried into the earth. Now just think about what you put in your trash......plastic milk bottles and detergent bottles, soup and vegetable cans, and who knows what else. These are all items that don't break down in the soil - they are there forever.

Now I realize that if everyone in my city alone thought the same way that I thought, our landfills would be out of control.

Now is the time to take control of our trash.

RECYCLE - REFILL - REUSE - RECLAIM

We are doing our part to help out at our garden center.

• We will recycle your used vases, and containers.
  
• We save the plastic plant pots and trays that our annuals & perennials and houseplants come in. When you need a pot to transplant seedlings or plants in, you can stop by our store and pick some up. They're free. They just need to be washed out with soap and water before your use them.
  
• We will be composting all our yard waste.

This is just a few ways we are helping out. We will be taking a look at what our carbon footprint is, and making the changes to reduce it as much as we can.
